Nice, big pitches. Lots of shade from the sun. Very nice toliets and baths.

I made a reservation before visiting. I reserved about 1 month before arrival. I paid in advance. BUT there was a fee for reservation - about 4€. I don't understand that. I paid in advance and you knew I was coming. Why should I pay extra?

Friendly and knowledgable reception, spacious pitches, very modern toilet facilities (bright, clean and great showers). Very close to centre ville and easy access to cycling along the river. Easy on and off peage access. C'est bon camping!

Shower block is excellent. All staff were really helpful.

The food quality was not good for the price paid. The vegetarian option was very poor and if I visited again I would not purchase the food.

There was a degree of privacy, dividing hedges, quiet at night. Riverside pitches were lovely. Toilets and showers were spotless, very encouraging! We were in town for the festival and it was a short walk away so a perfect place to stay. The pizzas looked nice although we didn't try them... Staff at the front desk and in the cafe were in general very helpful and friendly.

We asked the campsite to call us a taxi at the end of our stay and they called someone they seem to work with regularly. He charged us 20 euro for a short journey to the station which is twice what we paid getting to the campsite from the station when we arrived. We left Chalon quite upset that we hadn't asked the price beforehand (our fault) and feeling a bit ripped off. I would recommend doing some research into another taxi company and not using the number provided by the campsite.
